Just around the corner and the research and writing is at fever pitch. Heading out January 2 for a massive 2-weeks of London theatre, galleries and museums, research in the libraries bookending my talk at Oxford. "MEDIEVAL POP: WARHOL’S BYZANTINE ICONOGRAPHY"  Though escaping Sydney summer for European winter could just be the best thing about this trip for cold loving me. It won't be spring, but here's of pic of where I'll be.

Once again Red Stitch offers an amazing production, which captures an American play just right, has astonishing performances, and a crazy perfect set. BOOK NOW. You have a little over a week to catch this one. Seriously do not miss it- not Christmas party is better.

Paula Scher and the Type Brigade

Its been a year since we set foot in Melbourne, and we finally enjoyed a busy 6 days in our "Europe without the jet lag" an hours flight away. Academic demands culminated in my speaking on Graphic Designer Paula Scher, of Pentagram at the The annual conference of the Bibliographical Society of Australia and New Zealand Inc held at the University of Melbourne, Australia, from 25-27 November 2015, On the theme of ‘Turning the Page: Bibliographical Innovation and the Legacy of Aldus Manutius’ I was taken back to her influence during my years as an Art Director, one which continues. Met amazing people, 2 days of stimulating papers (we all learned much), and the conference gave Jeremy the opportunity to do the research interviews in Melbourne he needed for his thesis, and last but not least, a good excuse to have time with great friends (and il Carusi pizza) which we see too little of thanks to the tyranny of distance.
